Subculture Shock

Originally a radio show on WNRN, Subculture Shock featured a variety of excellent hosts from DJ Xiane to DJ Cadybug. PAT 626 hosted the show from 2004 - 2011, and after the show went off the air several years later, they resurrected the show as a livestream and podcast in 2017. While the show originally featured cutting edge goth, industrial, darkwave, death rock, EBM, synth-pop, and post-punk alongside long-held favorites, PAT transitioned the show to solely new music with Dark Alternative Renaissance accompanying the 2020 pandemic. Now, save for “So Bad, It’s Good,” a humorous tribute to the cheesy elements we love in our scene, all songs played on SubShock came out in the last 6 months, if not the last 6 days.

Subculture Shock airs live every Sunday at 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific on twitch.tv/djpat626. Restreams available at the following sites/times:

Radio Xiane: Mondays at 10pm E/7pm P, Tuesdays at 12pm E/9am P
Outworld Fleet Radio: Tuesdays at 11pm E/8pm P
Mixcloud: Uploaded a day or two after the live show. If you download the Mixcloud app and follow the channel, you can listen whenever/wherever and get updates when new shows are available.
